Customized Coaching Plans

Customized Coaching Plans for Managers, Employees, and Individuals

It is a well-known fact that, in many organizations, middle and upper managers may have simply progressed through the ranks over many years, rising to top positions not because of superior managerial skills, but simply because they have been employed there longer than others. The result is that some managers may have serious deficiencies in key areas such as soft skills, management psychology, and business etiquette, simply because they have never had the opportunity to become properly trained for their managerial roles. This can also be an important factor to consider as a result of the globalization of business, which necessitates interactions between employees, managers, and key business partners who come from diverse cultures with dramatically different customs regarding social interaction, communication, and business etiquette. In some cases, the result of such deficiencies can be a toxic work environment, resulting in exposure to litigation, high turnover, and sub-par performance.

We have formulated Customized Coaching Plans for situations as described above, which may include:

Evaluation of Key Behaviors and Intentions
Goal Setting
Leadership, Strengths, and Energizers Assessment
360-Degree Feedback from Peer Raters
Behavior Modification Plan
American Business Etiquette and Protocol Tutorials
Emotional Control Techniques
Employee Motivation and Leadership Strategies
Relationship and Trust Building Strategies
Time Management and Priority Setting Strategies
In-person Coaching Sessions
Follow-up Assessments to Measure Progress

Organizational Development

Organizational Development and Organizational Effectiveness

Our organizational development practice is focused on helping clients optimize their organizational culture, and empowering their people to execute the business strategy in a more productive manner. In many cases, a mindset shift may be required to enhance agility in the organization, so that instead of leaders controlling and directing work by constantly steering the tasks of the employees, employees are empowered as a result of being part of a strong community that supports and grows the culture. This motivates people to deliver exceptional results and to approach their work from a team orientation. Critical to achieving this result is the creation of a cohesive community with positive peer behavior and a high-trust environment.

For example, a typical intervention strategy might include the following components:

Group facilitation by means of workshop sessions for key managers and employees, including team dynamic improvement and trust building.
Individual Strengths Assessments and 360-Degree Feedback
Individual Coaching Sessions
Analysis of Assessment Data: to determine significant strengths and weaknesses, and how those strengths are being perceived by others.
Presentation and review of analysis results, and coaching on customized techniques to help put this information into action.
Strategies for correcting/remediating toxic work environments, where a lack of trust (or a lack of respect) may be present. (Characteristics: conflict, ego, gossip, insecurities, insensitivity to others, lack of awareness, misinterpretations, lack of or ineffective communication, corporate ladder-climbing).

Measures of Success would include the following:

Employees work cooperatively with others to overcome conflict and build toward a common goal.
Employees readily identify with other people’s situations and can see things clearly from their perspective.
Employees take responsibility for influencing and motivating others to contribute to the goals and success of their team and organization.
Employees are energized, and they remain positive about the future.
Employees will improve communication styles and establish clear expectations with team members.
Employees convey their ideas and opinions in a confident and respectful manner and have a positive impact on others.
Employees are motivated to do quality work and do not hesitate to step forward for tasks that they believe they can perform.
Employees enjoy their work day because they are spending more time in the areas that energize them.

Workforce Surveys, Meas. & Analysis

Workforce Survey, Measurement, and Analysis

For large clients we have utilized survey platforms to conduct workforce measurement to obtain feedback, benchmarks, and data from employees throughout the enterprise to measure the correlation between employee engagement and company success. This included analysis of survey results, and facilitation of action planning sessions with employee groups, in order to prioritize remediation strategies to improve performance and engagement in weak areas identified by the survey.

Key elements include:

Analysis of human capital survey results to identify interconnected levels including: drivers, engagement outcomes and business outcomes.
Action Planning Workshops with employee groups to present and discuss group strengths and weaknesses based on engagement rankings, so that meaningful actions can be identified to create positive changes comparable to benchmarks based on industry standards.
Consultations and coaching sessions with key managers and employees to advise on ways to improve employee performance and well-being that directly correlate to positive and tangible business outcomes

Providers of these types of products include Moodle, Litmos, and others, which have been deployed in many educational institutions and small to mid-sized businesses.
